Thales is hiring a Senior Security Analyst responsible for solving complex field issues for enterprise customers, focusing on combating automated threats targeting web applications, APIs, and mobile applications. The role involves analyzing large traffic datasets to identify patterns, collaborating with customers and internal teams to implement mitigation strategies, and investigating anomalies to provide detailed evidence for actions taken.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  1. Become an Imperva Expert—understand how Imperva’s Bot Detection platform works and how bots attack websites.
  2. Work with customers to understand issues caused by automated attacks and develop mitigation strategies.
  3. Analyze customer network traffic and applications, providing recommendations to mitigate bot attacks and serve as an escalation point.
  4. Engage with customers regularly on security issues within billable hours.
  5. Participate in customer presentations.
  6. Collaborate with internal threat research, data science, and product teams to deliver actionable intelligence for product improvements.
  7. Mentor Security Analysts, sharing best practices and helping develop their skills.
  8. Contribute to projects aimed at analysis efficiency.
  9. Lead complex security engagements across strategic and enterprise accounts.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a relevant technical field.
  2. At least 7 years of experience in Cybersecurity or 5 years in Bot Management.
  3. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and Looker, or willingness to learn.
  4. Intermediate to advanced SQL skills.
  5. Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
  6. Ability to automate tasks and streamline operations for scalability.

The estimated Total Target Compensation (TTC) range is $88,749.02 - $179,179.52 USD annually, including base salary and variable pay. Compensation depends on experience, skills, and other factors.
