Overview

Position: Senior Security Analyst

Location: USA (Remote)

Salary: $120,000 – $145,000 + Full Benefits

We are working with a healthcare-focused institution that is expanding its cybersecurity team and seeking an experienced Senior Security Analyst. This is a strategic and hands-on role reporting into the senior information security leadership. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background in cybersecurity operations, compliance, and incident management, along with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and manage cybersecurity tools (e.g., Secureworks, CrowdStrike, Darktrace, SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners).
  • Monitor systems and networks for threats; support incident response and investigations.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure policy compliance and secure configurations.
  • Maintain and update security documentation, procedures, and risk reports.
  • Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Advise on secure design and participate in key IT and security projects.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years in IT with at least 5 years in a dedicated cybersecurity role.
  • Hands-on experience with Secureworks, CrowdStrike, and Darktrace platforms.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, network architecture, and system hardening practices.
  • Advanced experience with security monitoring, endpoint protection, and forensic tools.
  • Familiarity with incident detection, response workflows, and cyber threat intelligence platforms.
  • Working knowledge of PKI, encryption methods, and secure communications protocols.
  • Strong experience in both AWS and Azure cloud environments, including cloud-native security tools and best practices.
  • Exposure to virtualization technologies and cloud security best practices.
  • Strong documentation skills and a collaborative, consultative approach to security support.
  • Experience working within or aligning to NIST, ISO, or other security frameworks.
