Job summary

Ovative Group is seeking a Lead Security Analyst to join our Information Security team in Minneapolis. You will own governance, risk, and compliance programs, including client security questionnaires, vendor assessments, and SOC 2 operations, with a focus on AI governance.

The ideal candidate writes clearly, coordinates with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and helps the company adopt AI safely. This role offers growth across security operations, policy lifecycle, training, and risk

Qualifications

Two- to four-year degree or 3+ years security experience.
Experience with SOC 2, NIST CSF, or ISO 27001.
Experience responding to security questionnaires and vendor assessments.
Familiarity with data privacy laws (CCPA, GDPR).
Experience using generative AI tools and AI governance.

Responsibilities

Own client security questionnaires end to end and build a reusable answer library.
Conduct vendor security assessments and track risk across vendors.
Run SOC 2 compliance operations, including evidence collection and audits.
Maintain the risk register and prepare quarterly risk reviews.
Drive policy lifecycle, and support data privacy compliance operations.
Operate AI governance, tool inventory, and exception management.
Manage security awareness training, phishing simulations, and communications.
Coordinate periodic user access reviews and offboarding validation.
