Job summary

NS2 Mission in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve secure, scalable applications for Intelligence Community customers. You will work on full-stack solutions, backend services in Python, RESTful APIs, and relational databases in a collaborative, Agile environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field, 10+ years of enterprise software experience, and strong Python/Angular skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of professional experience delivering enterprise software solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for backend development.
• Expertise with Angular or comparable front-end frameworks.
• RESTful APIs design and integration in distributed apps.
• Experience with Oracle and relational databases.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL/SQL Server/MySQL.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong software engineering practices: version control, testing, peer reviews, security.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable full-stack applications.
• Architect and implement backend services using Python and modern frameworks.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for interoperability.
• Design and optimize relational databases for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to shape technical approaches.
