Job summary

Oracle Government Defense & Intelligence seeks a Senior Application Software Engineer to build and operate secure, scalable services for sovereign and government cloud environments. You will design, develop, test, and maintain software, APIs, and integrations, collaborating across engineering, QA, and operations to meet mission-critical needs.

As a senior contributor, you will drive medium-sized features, improve reliability, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 8 years of software development experience or equivalent education.
• 4 years of experience with programming and/or scripting languages.
• 3 years of experience with databases.
• Experience with distributed systems and secure development practices.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly through docs and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain secure application software, services, APIs, and integrations.
• Drive medium-sized features with reliability, performance, and maintainability improvements.
• Translate requirements into scalable designs and implementation plans.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response.
• Collaborate with QA and engineering to define testing strategy.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver features.
