Job summary

Masimo Medical Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Architect, Engineering to be a senior technical authority advocating secure-by-design across software platforms.

You will partner with software, algorithm, quality, regulatory, and product teams to embed cybersecurity in architecture and SDLC, ensuring patient safety, integrity, and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes defining security strategy, strengthening software resilience, and guiding engineering

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years in software architecture, cybersecurity engineering, or product security in complex environments.
• Deep expertise in secure software design and modern development practices.
• Ability to influence engineering through technical leadership, not people management.
• Strong threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and risk-based decisions.
• Experience integrating cybersecurity into the full SDLC across multiple platforms.
• Excellent communication of complex concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Onsite work in Irvine, CA

Responsibilities

• Define and drive secure architecture strategies across cloud, desktop, mobile, and embedded software.
• Embed secure-by-design principles into engineering processes including threat modeling and reviews.
• Integrate cybersecurity into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows.
• Establish scalable product security standards, reference architectures, and guidelines.
• Lead technical reviews on application security, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, and Risk to support product lifecycle security and compliance.
• Advise engineering leadership on cybersecurity risks, trade-offs, and decisions.
• Mentor engineers on secure development practices and emerging threats.
• Evaluate new technologies and industry threats to evolve Masimo’s security capabilities.
• Align product security strategies with broader enterprise cybersecurity goals.
