Job summary

The Sealift Command seeks a CIVMAR Second Assistant Engineer to manage the operation and maintenance of boilers and auxiliary machinery aboard naval auxiliaries and hybrid-manned ships worldwide. You will ensure safe, efficient engineering performance and participate in drills as required.

• US citizen 18+.
• USCG MMC with expiration requirements.
• TWIC credential with expiration requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operation, maintenance and testing of boilers, fuel systems, and related machinery aboard steam, motor, or gas turbine vessels.
• Maintains compliance with environmental and safety instructions and participates in drills.
• Performs duties to ensure reliable shipboard engineering and power systems performance.
