Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 8+ years of automotive engineering experience.
• Experience with global project management and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with FMVSS and ECE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate seat structures, seat components, foam, trim and full seat systems.
• Handle product release lifecycle: create and maintain BOMs, manage design revisions using change management systems.
• Ensure successful integration of the seat system in the vehicle.
• Develop DVPRs and support both prototype and production builds.
• Analyze problems, lead root cause and troubleshooting on design and manufacturing issues.
• Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to design and manufacturing issues.
• Work closely with suppliers on the design, quality and delivery of seat parts.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet project goals.
• Oversee the full life of the seat product—from concept, through production, to end‑of‑life.
• Make sure all designs meet safety regulation, performance specifications and customer requirements.
• Drive weight and cost reduction initiatives.
• Communicate product status to leadership.
