Job summary

Tradeweb seeks a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong test automation experience to design robust automation solutions for modern web applications. The role collaborates with engineers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure high-quality software delivery, using SQL and Python for validation and data analysis.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in QA/testing, experience with Angular/React frontends, and hands-on expertise in Selenium, Cypress, Playwright,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software quality assurance and testing, preferably in finance or trading systems.
• Proven experience as an SDET/QA Automation Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience with modern open-source JavaScript testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO).
• Good understanding of testing modern web apps built with Angular/React.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web applications.
• Create and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Support applications built with Angular and React.
• Debug client-side JavaScript issues using Chrome DevTools.
• Develop test utilities and Python-based validation tools.
• Use SQL for data validation, troubleshooting, and backend verification.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, product owners, and DevOps to ensure quality.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/Jenkins).
• Work in Linux-based environments for testing and automation.
• Analyze defects and document issues clearly.
