Senior SDET - UI & Performance Testing for Trading Platform

Job summary

Luxoft is hiring a hands-on SDET to own UI test automation for our in-house trading platform. You’ll extend our Playwright framework, test real-time streaming, and ensure quality gates in CI across UI, API, messaging, data, and performance tests.

You will co-architect a unified testing framework with backend SDET, validating UI workflows and contracts while driving front-end performance budgets in a large-scale desktop container environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UI test automation, including framework design or extension.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js with hands-on Playwright.
• Python (pytest) for tooling and backend checks in UI scenarios.
• Experience testing React apps with complex data grids and dynamic forms.
• Experience mocking REST and WebSocket traffic and auth flows.
• Front-end performance testing: profiling, budgets, and CI enforcement.
• CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience building isolated test environments: Linux CLI, Docker, AWS, IaC.
• Reliability: deterministic waits, retries, and triage of flaky tests.
• Clear communication and good documentation.

Responsibilities

• Co-architect and co-own a unified testing framework across UI, API, and data layers.
• Design, build and maintain end-to-end and component tests with Playwright and TS.
• Extend the shared toolkit: page objects, fixtures, and mocks of desktop APIs.
• Build front-end harnesses for real-time data with mocked responses.
• Cover UI failure modes: disconnects, expired sessions, and stale data.
• Own front-end performance testing and CI-regress gates.
• Create isolated test environments on Linux and AWS per branch/run.
• Validate front-end/back-end contracts and payload schemas.
• Run UI suites in CI/CD with sharded parallel runs and PR reporting.
• Make failures diagnosable with traces, screenshots, and telemetry.
