Job summary

System One Vienna, VA seeks a Mid - Senior Level Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the Digital Delivery team. The role focuses on testing software and features, building automated test packages, and performing performance testing in a Scrum setting.

Responsibilities include developing automation frameworks, testing API/UI/DB, supporting production releases, and collaborating with engineers and business stakeholders to automate acceptance criteria across Cloud and open-source

Qualifications

• At least 5 years overall SDET and/or development hands on experience.
• At least 2 years of mobile apps test automation experience in Android and/or iOS, Web, API
• At least 4 years of professional experience in software test automation, including creation and deployment of frameworks and design and maintenance of test automation.
• At least 2 years of API Automation Testing.
• Experience with agile development methodology.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, etc.
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD), BDD, and Agile (XP)
• Experience with test automation in Java with JUnit/TestNG, Selenium, JMeter and Appium
• Experience working with ticketing systems such as Service Now or Jira
• Hands on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Must have hands on experience in Selenium scripting, and SQL querying
• Must have hands on experience utilizing cloud hosted testing platforms such as Perfecto.
• Proficient in debugging issues.
• Proficient in Java
• Proficient in writing functional automation (UI/API)
• Strong data structures, algorithms, design patterns and analytical skills.
• Experience with code reviews and pull requests

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers to troubleshoot and remediate automation issues in testing and deploying environments
• Work alongside developers and stakeholders to automate acceptance criteria
• Implement agile methodologies in sprint environments
• Create and execute test cases based on project documents and product objectives
• Test API, web and mobile applications that reference back-end databases
• Support non-functional requirements such as performance testing
• Set up and maintain test automation frameworks across Mobile, Desktop and Web platforms
• Participate in all agile ceremonies to ensure QA is represented
• Own end-to-end test strategy, design test plans and automation for moderate to high complexity
• Manage quality on production releases
• Develop and maintain automation test scripts for UI and API
• Develop smoke, functional, regression and integration test suites
• Design customer-centric automation processes for new product development
• Advocate for automation improvements to management
