A technology solutions provider is seeking a Senior SDET / QA Automation Engineer in Maryland to build and oversee the automated testing strategy across web applications and backend services. This role involves designing test frameworks, integrating quality gates in CI/CD pipelines, and working closely with engineering teams. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience in QA automation, proficiency in Playwright or Cypress, and a strong grasp of API testing, ensuring robust quality assurance in a compliance-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development engineering in test (SDET), QA automation, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on proficiency with Playwright and/or Cypress for end-to-end UI test automation.
• Strong understanding of HTTP, REST, JSON, and web application architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end UI automation frameworks.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enforce quality gates.
• Collaborate with DevOps and software teams to embed testing earlier in the development lifecycle.
