Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design and implement robust event-driven architectures that enhance observability and enable comprehensive tracking across data pipelines in a federal context.

You will build modular, scalable systems with strong emphasis on access control, fault tolerance, and real-time alerting, using Python, Kafka, JSON, Grafana and ELK to monitor system health and support rapid incident response.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development or related field.
• Proficient in Python, with experience in asynchronous or concurrent programming.
• Experience deploying Python apps on cloud architectures and implementing logging/monitoring.
• Familiar with distributed systems, event-driven design, and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust event-driven architectures across data pipelines.
• Develop modular systems for easy integration with new data formats and domains.
• Build dashboards and monitoring using Grafana and the ELK stack to track system health.
• Focus on access control, fault tolerance, and real-time alerting.
• Contribute to expanding the organization’s data infrastructure.
