Job summary

BizTech Fusion seeks a Lead Network Architect to envision, design, and lead SD-WAN and WAN initiatives for a large enterprise. The role emphasizes security compliance with FISMA/NIST and FedRAMP, and requires ability to translate business goals into scalable, resilient network architectures.

The ideal candidate will guide architectural decisions, drive innovations, and collaborate with federal clients. This contract role supports remote work with onsite Raleigh, NC participation as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 15+ years of enterprise networking experience.
• 5+ years supporting federal agencies.
• Experience designing large-scale WAN environments.
• Strong hands-on SD-WAN experience in large enterprises.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies, segmentation, routing, traffic engineering, redundancy, centralized management.
• Zero Trust architecture experience.
• Knowledge of network security principles: firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS.
• IPv6 understanding.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP.
• Thought leadership in networking industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead for network initiatives and develop new projects and strategies.
• Provide technical direction for SD-WAN across large WAN environments.
• Develop SD-WAN/WAN blueprints with connectivity, routing, security, performance.
• Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST 800-53, TIC 3.0, FedRAMP.
• Evaluate and select SD-WAN platforms and vendor solutions.
• Mentor client and third-party teams and set technical standards.
