Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to act as the welding quality authority on projects, writing and reviewing welding quality programs and supervising CWIs and Inspectors.

The role requires AWS SCWI or a CWI with 8+ years of leadership, with extensive code knowledge and experience in coordinating QA with engineers of record and fabricators on complex fabrication projects.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or current CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection including supervision of other inspectors.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards used in structural, industrial, and pipeline work.
• Credible with engineers, fabricators, and building officials; ability to write and review procedures.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects and review their reports.
• Audit fabricators' welding quality systems and witness or direct procedure qualification testing.
