Job summary

Syngenta Seeds Field Crops in the United States seeks a Senior Scientist to lead a team advancing transgenic event generation and genome engineering for major field crops. You will drive biotech trait research, develop novel methods, and ensure high scientific rigor across projects.

Responsibilities include designing studies, collaborating with external partners, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment while strengthening capabilities and accelerating innovation within the biotech

Qualifications

• PhD with 6+ years in plant molecular biology or related biotech.
• Experience leading a research operation and team.
• Proven track record via publications or patents.
• Experience with genomics, gene editing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of scientists in transgenic event generation and genetic engineering capabilities.
• Provide scientific leadership to design and deliver studies.
• Develop new methods and protocols, applying new cellular technologies.
• Initiate and implement changes to protocols or systems.
