Job summary

MSD in Rahway, NJ is seeking a lab-based scientist to design and develop sterile products for injectable and ophthalmic routes. You will support early and late-stage assets, building mechanistic understanding of degradation and process design space, and document findings in development reports and regulatory filings.

The role requires a Masters with four years or PhD in relevant engineering or pharmaceutical sciences. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Masters with four years or Ph.D. in Chemical/Biochemical/Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with sterile product development is preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory filings and GMP/GXP practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop sterile products for biologics for injectable and ophthalmic routes.
• Support early and late stage assets and understand degradation & process space.
• Develop scalable processes, packaging, and document findings in reports.
• Coordinate GXP manufacturing activities and regulatory filings.
• Lead formulation development teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
