Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Senior Scientist to translate SAR signal processing techniques into production software for space-based remote sensing programs.

The role requires leadership in algorithm development, prototype-to-software conversion, and collaboration with multi-vendor teams to integrate algorithms into complex systems. The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years of experience, an active TS/SCI clearance, and a degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 5-7+ years of relevant experience.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Signals Processing, Physics, or a related technology field (or 10 years of professional experience in lieu of degree).
• Background in SAR and translating SAR technologies into working software.
• Software skills in C++, Python, MATLAB, Rust, or similar.
• Experience coordinating software integration across multi-vendor environments.
• Ability to work with government experts and align algorithm development with requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead algorithm development and signal processing from conception to software application.
• Convert algorithm definitions and prototypes into software that runs on large images and in operational environments.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to junior team members.
• Collaborate across programs and vendors to integrate algorithms into existing software and hardware platforms.
• Represent the company and program in working groups and meetings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
