Kenvue Inc. in North America, United States, New Jersey, Summit, is seeking a Senior Scientist for Research & Development to advance molecular biology and immunology programs across oral care, digestive health, and allergies.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop preclinical methods, generate insights, and publish findings when appropriate. You will design studies, translate complex science into actionable strategies, and contribute to patentable IP while staying current

Competenze

• Experience with cell culture and 2D/3D preclinical models
• Deep knowledge of immune responses and biomarkers in oral/digestive health and allergies
• Comfort with Biosafety Level 2 lab operations
• Ability to translate complex science into actionable insights
• Strong written and oral communication; able to present to diverse audiences
• Proficiency with statistical software for data analysis and literature searches
• Familiarity with imaging tools and study design concepts
• Track record of peer‑reviewed work and IP-related activities

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Scientist will be responsible for conducting research directed toward discovery and development of new scientific capabilities to enhance and diversify the expertise of Kenvue's Oral care, digestive health and allergy R&D. The selected candidate will seek out internal and external opportunities to grow our scientific thought leadership, taking a lead role in development of new molecular biology and immunology preclinical methods to assess technologies and products in collaboration with cross‑functional teams. The candidate will stay up‑to‑date with the latest scientific advancements and technologies to inform research strategies and approaches. The Senior Scientist will design and develop studies to advance and progress the expertise and capabilities in the oral and systemic immune response related to oral care, digestive health, allergies etc that are predictive of clinical outcomes, provide mechanistic insights or generate new, scientifically robust, claims. Intellectual Property will be patented when feasible. Results of research will be communicated regularly, internally to partners and leaders, and externally at appropriate scientific conferences and professional engagements. Publication of scientific discoveries is encouraged to help share the outcomes of our research initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with cell culture and tissue culture and 2D and 3D cell preclinical models and data analysis
• In depth knowledge of immune response and inflammatory biomarkers related to oral health, digestive health, allergies etc
• Biosafety Level 2 laboratory operations
• Ability to translate complex scientific topics into meaningful insights and actionable strategies.
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills
• Bioinformatics programming software such as R and minitab
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in computer software packages and literature searches
• Understanding of clinical and in situ study design
• Experience with imaging tools
• Peer reviewed publication and IP submission process with a proven track record of conducting and publishing impactful research in peer‑reviewed journals

This position may require up to 10% overall travel.
