Job summary

CY Partners is partnering with an established diagnostics organisation to recruit a Senior R&D Scientist for its expanding R&D team. This role offers involvement across feasibility to manufacturing transfer for rapid diagnostics.

You will design and lead experiments, develop lateral flow and immunoassay technologies, and present data to stakeholders while supporting scale-up and DHF documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Immunology, Biology, Biomedical Sciences or related discipline.
• Demonstrated industry experience developing and optimising lateral flow assays.
• Strong understanding of immunoassay development and rapid diagnostic technologies.
• Experience working within product development environments.
• Strong scientific data analysis and technical reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute and lead experimental programmes for rapid diagnostic products.
• Develop and optimise lateral flow assays and associated immunoassay technologies.
• Lead technical investigations and troubleshoot complex scientific challenges.
• Analyse, interpret and present scientific data to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support product scale-up, technology transfer and manufacturing implementation activities.
• Contribute to Design History Files (DHF), design control documentation and technical reports.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing and Project Management teams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior scientists.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the development of innovative rapid diagnostic products, working across the full product development lifecycle from feasibility through to scale up and manufacturing transfer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute and lead experimental programmes supporting the development of rapid diagnostic products.
