Job summary

BrainChild Bio in Seattle, WA, seeks a Senior Scientist to lead the Process Core team within Process Development. You will mentor associate scientists and engineers, design and analyze experiments, and drive high-quality data generation to support programs and regulatory filings.

You will oversee cell processing studies, collaborate with MSAT and Analytical teams, and push automation and optimization to improve efficiency while delivering timely insights for product development.

Qualifications

  • PhD or BS/MS with substantial cell therapy process development experience.
  • DOE and statistics proficiency required.
  • Experience authoring/regulatory filings preferred.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of immunology, cell biology, and analytical techniques (flow cytometry).
  • Strong technical writing and oral presentation skills.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

BrainChild Bio is seeking an enthusiastic, self-driven Senior Scientist to lead the Process Core team within Process Development. The successful candidate will lead a team of associate scientists and engineers to design, execute, and analyze experiments supporting process development studies, material generation runs, and process characterization activities. This position requires positive, collaborative leadership abilities, clear organizational skills, and excellent prioritization to help drive timely delivery of high quality experimental data to advance programs and support regulatory filings. Responsibilities:
  • Lead team of associate scientists/engineersto support process core activities and provide scientific mentorship

Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Immunology or equivalent with 4+ years of technical experience or B.S./M.S. with 8+ years of experience in cell therapy process development
  • Expertise in statistical experimental design (DOE) with proficiency in JMP
  • Experience authoring and reviewing regulatory filings and supporting documentation
  • Ability to lead and participate in cross-functional teams, meet deadlines, and prioritize work
  • Working knowledge of immunology, cell biology, and analytical techniques including flow cytometry and cell-based assays.
  • Strong technical writing and oral presentation skills
  • Flexibility with work schedule (i.e., occasional weekend work)
