Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking an MS&T Senior Scientist to drive bench chemistry and manage multi-project workloads in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. You will lead cross-functional teams, champion new technologies, and guide regulatory-compliant activities across AS&T, QA, and Regulatory interfaces.

You will transfer technologies to CDMOs, monitor reactions with diverse analytical methods, and contribute to regulatory documents while traveling up to 20% for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry with 8+ years experience or advanced degrees with corresponding experience.
• Experience in transferring developed technology to outside CDMOs and working with suppliers.
• Experience supporting CMC sections of INDs preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for complex technical information.
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams and regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical transfer and manufacturing collaborations with external CDMOs.
• Perform synthetic organic experiments for development stages.
• Monitor reactions using various analytical methods with analysts.
• Contribute to departmental initiatives and cross-functional teams.
• Travel internationally up to 20% to support validation and campaigns.
