Job summary

Roche in Arizona seeks a Scientist to join the Personalized Healthcare (PHCS) Assay Development team, leading scientific research and development to support existing and new diagnostics products.

The role requires applying advanced techniques such as histology, immunohistochemistry, and in situ hybridization, designing DOE-based experiments, and communicating results to cross-functional teams while upholding Quality First Time standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• PhD may qualify for entry level.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, direct, and perform scientific research and development to support diagnostics products.
• Apply advanced scientific knowledge to histology, immunohistochemistry, and/or in situ hybridization.
• Create potentially patentable components for systems, reagents, or processes.
• Utilize DOE where appropriate.
• Analyze data, evaluate results, and implement improvements.
• Prepare and deliver presentations of project results to others.
• Monitor work to ensure quality, and promote Quality First Time.
