Job summary

Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC is seeking a Senior Scientist, Non-Clinical Studies Manager to provide scientific and operational oversight of outsourced nonclinical studies (PK, Safety, Efficacy) across R&D programs. You will sponsor CROs, ensure GLP/compliance, and collaborate with safety and efficacy leads to guide decision-making.

The role requires managing CROs, budgets, and study timelines, with travel as needed to support audits and facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with extensive industry experience.
• Study Director experience in veterinary product development for GLP and non-GLP studies.
• Experience managing CROs and external test facilities; strong scientific and analytical skills.
• Experience across multiple study types (PK, safety, bioequivalence).

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, setup, monitoring, execution, and reporting of non-clinical studies.
• Coordinate CRO selection, budgets, contracts and invoicing.
• Ensure studies meet GLP and regulatory requirements and are reported accurately.
• Review study data and reports; ensure quality and scientific integrity.
• Coordinate study drug logistics with clinical supply lead; archive study materials.
