Flagship Pioneering, through Pioneering Intelligence, is seeking a Senior Scientist to build multi-modal biological reasoning engines that fuse human expertise, machine intelligence, and biological signals at scale.

You will design architectures, train large-scale models, and curate novel biological datasets to address unconventional life-sciences problems, contributing to both technical and product roadmaps.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in a quantitative field with strong research track record
• Strong ML and software fundamentals
• Experience handling large-scale biological datasets

Responsibilities

• Design architecture, training strategies, and evaluations for a multi-modal biological reasoning model.
• Train and validate large-scale biological reasoning models.
• Develop and curate novel biological datasets and benchmarks to evaluate validity and generalization.
• Translate biological questions into well-defined ML problems and scale training data pipelines
