Job summary
Lilly in Indianapolis is seeking a Senior Scientist in Safety Assessment, a 100% non-laboratory role. You will coordinate toxicology data audits, develop publication-ready visualizations, and shape regulatory strategies while collaborating with PDTs and related disciplines.
You will drive governance, author technical memos, and defend safety approaches to cross-functional leaders, with emphasis on data integrity, regulatory compliance, and advancing early pipeline decisions.
Qualifications
- MS with 6–8+ years of biotech/pharma/CRO experience.
- BS with 8–10+ years of drug development and toxicology operations.
- Expert-level understanding of preclinical toxicology datasets and study designs.
- Hands-on proficiency auditing regulatory SEND data structures.
- Strong data visualization and scientific writing skills.
- Leadership to influence cross-functional scientific leaders.
Responsibilities
- Lead data models turning multi-dose toxicology data into publication-ready visuals.
- Oversee SEND datasets review and QC for regulatory filing and archival.
- Conduct literature reviews to assess safety risks and inform strategies.
- Co-author data packages, briefing books, and executive slides.
- Collaborate with Safety Assessment, CMC, DMPK, and Clinical Ops.
