Job summary

Amgen is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join the Thousand Oaks, CA team. This role focuses on developing and deploying novel molecular biology and sequencing workflows, advancing therapeutic biologics and next-generation design-build-test cycles.

You will work within a multidisciplinary group integrating protein engineering and analytical methods, contributing to robust, scalable workflows and high-quality data generation in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree (PhD) in Molecular Biology, Synthetic Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• OR Masters degree and 3 years of scientific experience
• OR Bachelors degree and 5 years of scientific experience

Responsibilities

• Deploy and execute innovative, integrated in vitro synthetic molecular biology and NGS capabilities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enable seamless design-build-test cycles at speed.
• Collaborate to translate early-stage ideas into robust, high-throughput experimental workflows.
• Work within a collaborative team with rigorous data generation and documentation.
