Job summary

Lilly in Indianapolis is seeking a Sr. Scientist / Principal Scientist in Global Sample Management. The role focuses on operationalizing and enhancing sample management, data stewardship, and process improvements within GSM’s data platforms.

The position requires strong data management skills, experience with LIMS, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure quality and regulatory compliance in a high-throughput lab setting.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutics, Informatics, Engineering, Logistics or related field.
• 3-5+ years of relevant laboratory or sample management or data stewardship experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Support sample management workflows from registration to handling, including assay-ready plates and compound libraries.
• Design and enhance workflows for sample storage and handling operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues and ensure data integrity across GSM systems.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand research context behind sample requests.
