Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ is seeking a Senior Scientist, Statistical Programming to support late-stage drug/vaccine development.

You will develop and execute analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures across trials and regulatory submissions, while collaborating with statistics and other stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with SAS experience in clinical trials, CDISC/ADaM knowledge, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or US equivalent) in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Life Sciences, Engineering or related field plus 3 years SAS programming experience OR Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years SAS programming experience in a clinical trial environment.
• Experience with CDISC and ADaM standards.
• Expertise in SAS and clinical trial programming including data steps, procedures, SAS/MACRO, SAS/GRAPH.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to statistical programming activities for late-stage drug/vaccine clinical development projects.
• Develop and execute statistical analysis and reporting deliverables (datasets, tables, listings, figures) for trials and regulatory submissions.
• Design and maintain statistical datasets for multiple stakeholders across development, outcomes research and safety evaluation.
• Collaborate with statistics and project stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Serve as statistical programming point of contact and knowledge holder through the product lifecycle.
• Apply advanced methodologies and tools to enable discovery, development, and regulatory approval of products.
• Lead one or more projects.
