Job summary

Merck seeks a Senior Scientist, Statistical Programming in Rahway, NJ to support late-stage drug and vaccine projects. You will develop and execute analyses for safety and efficacy datasets, tables, listings and figures across trials and regulatory submissions.

The role requires advanced SAS programming skills, CDISC/ADaM experience, and the ability to lead projects and collaborate with stakeholders for timely, high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Must have an advanced degree (Master’s or US equivalent) with required years of SAS programming in a clinical trial environment.
• Experience with CDISC and ADaM standards is expected.
• Ability to design complex programming algorithms and ensure deliverable quality.
• Expertise in SAS and clinical trial programming including data steps, procedures, SAS/MACRO, SAS/GRAPH.
• Strong systems and database knowledge and ability to interpret analysis plans.

Responsibilities

• Support statistical programming activities for late-stage clinical projects.
• Develop and execute statistical analyses and reporting deliverables across trials and regulatory submissions.
• Design statistical datasets for multiple stakeholders including development, safety evaluation and outcomes.
• Collaborate with statistics and project stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Lead one or more projects and act as the programming lead through the product lifecycle.
