Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking a Scientist for the Fares platform to design experiments, perform causal inference, and develop models that impact pricing, user experience, and operations. You will work with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and ops to drive strategy.
You will communicate findings to leadership and help shape the roadmap for fares across Uber and Uber Eats. A PhD/MS/BS in a quantitative field with 3+ years of applied data science experience and fluency in SQL
The Fares platform team powers the fares for all of Uber - that's all riders, earners and eaters across the Uber and Uber Eats app. With $190B+ in gross bookings processed by the fares platform annually, we solve high impact problems which are critical to Uber’s success.
As a Scientist on this team, you will leverage experiment design, exploratory data analysis, causal inference and model development to solve a wide variety of problems in domains like policy design, user experience, optimization and defect reduction.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $190,000 per year - USD $211,000 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $190,000 per year - USD $211,000 per year.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $190,000 per year - USD $211,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
