Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Process Development Senior Scientist, Drug Product Technologies, to drive formulation, stability, and process development for diverse biologics including ADCs and oligonucleotides. You will integrate formulation, analytical data, and manufacturing considerations to inform design and development decisions in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead cross-functional teams, apply high-throughput and data-driven methods, and contribute to regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field with 3+ years of industry experience.
• Experience in biologics drug product formulation development, stability assessment, process development, and/or fill/finish operations; ADCs/oligonucleotides preferred.
• Strong foundation in analytical/biophysical techniques (UPLC/HPLC, SEC, IEX, RP-HPLC, HIC, CE-SDS, LC-MS).
• Experience applying AI/ML, automation, and data science to streamline R&D workflows.
• Excellent scientific communication and regulatory-submission writing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation, stability, process development, and fill/finish studies for early-stage drug product programs across diverse biologic modalities.
• Develop and characterize liquid and lyophilized formulations for ADCs, oligonucleotides, monoclonal antibodies, multispecifics.
• Build process understanding across unit operations to support scalable drug product development.
• Apply machine learning/AI to predictive modeling and data integration to guide program decisions.
• Prepare technical documents, reports, and regulatory submissions; mentor junior scientists.
