Job summary

AbbVie Analytical Research & Development seeks a highly motivated Scientist II to independently develop and optimize new analytical methods for small molecules, generating reliable data for preclinical and clinical programs.

The role requires collaboration with PCS, Process Chemistry, and QA, with experience in chromatography and data management; strong writing and communication skills are essential for regulatory support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry with relevant experience.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot methods.
• Hands-on chromatography experience and spectroscopic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize analytical methods for drug substances and products.
• Perform method development, testing procedures, and data interpretation.
• Support impurity profiling and regulatory-required data generation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across R&D and QA.
• Transfer methods and contribute to validation and technology transfer.
• Generate technical data packages to support regulatory submissions.
• Contribute to project decisions with data visualization and interpretation.
• Maintain high productivity while adhering to GxP and safety standards.
