Job summary
Medtronic Neuromodulation Research & Development seeks a Senior Scientist to advance AI/ML and signal processing on large-scale neural datasets for Brain Modulation therapies. You will work with engineers, clinicians, and researchers across product development to translate insights into next-generation DBS and sensing technologies.
The role requires a strong background in neuroscience/engineering, experience with Python/MATLAB, and collaboration in a multi-disciplinary setting.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in statistics and experimental design for complex data
- Experience applying ML/AI to neural data and brain modulation concepts
- Proficiency with Python/MATLAB and large-scale data analysis
Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale neural recording datasets to identify insights for therapy advancement
- Develop and optimize AI/ML, statistical, and signal processing algorithms for neural sensing
- Collaborate with engineers, clinicians, and teams to translate results into development activities
- Support preclinical and clinical research by evaluating feasibility of new concepts
- Communicate analytical results to cross-functional leadership
- Build expertise in Deep Brain Stimulation and neural sensing technologies
