Xaira Therapeutics in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead high-throughput single-cell assay development, partnering with biology, engineering, and computational teams to translate concepts into scalable workflows.

You will design, prototype, and optimize assays, contribute to expanding readouts, and help train or guide other scientists as the team scales with Xaira's AI-driven drug discovery platform.

Formación

• PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, bioengineering, biochemistry, immunology, or related field, with 4+ years of experience (industry preferred).
• Strong single-cell assay/technology development experience; title can be adjusted for fewer years.
• Track record inventing or improving single-cell, NGS, or cell-based assays.
• Curiosity and ability to learn new techniques quickly and apply to new concepts.
• Expertise in molecular biology and NGS assay development, including library prep and QC.

Responsabilidades

• Conceive and develop novel single-cell assays and expand workflows to enable new readouts.
• Develop and troubleshoot assay components from sample prep to QC; design primers and barcodes.
• Build mammalian cell systems and functional assays using flow cytometry and imaging.
• Collaborate to turn prototypes into reproducible, scalable workflows and document protocols.
• Evaluate emerging technologies.
