Job summary

Entegris is seeking a Senior Scientist, Computational Materials Solutions to join the Digital Innovation Team, focusing on integrating computational science, machine learning, and domain expertise to accelerate materials solutions for MES.

This remote role emphasizes translating research breakthroughs into scalable technologies and working with experimental scientists, engineers, and R&D leaders to drive design and process decisions.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and hands-on experience in computational materials science and related computational chemistry fields.
• Experience bridging theory, data, and experimentation to guide R&D decisions.
• Familiarity with model verification, validation, uncertainty quantification, and data management.

Responsibilities

• Develop molecular, statistical, and computational solutions to investigate material behavior and guide design.
• Support MES programs via AI/ML, predictive simulations, design-of-experiments, and reusable workflows.
• Integrate simulation data with experiments to prioritize experiments and interpret R&D results.
• Perform model calibration, verification, validation, sensitivity analysis, and uncertainty quantification.
• Translate outputs into actionable guidance for MES scientists and leaders, communicating assumptions and limitations clearly.
• Build reusable libraries, workflows, and knowledge assets across MES priorities.
• Communicate modeling results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders in reports and publications.
