Job summary

Cyprotex US, an Evotec company, is seeking a Senior Scientist to join our ADME team at site-based operations. You will conduct routine ADME assays, design experiments, troubleshoot, and analyze data to guide discovery and development.

The ideal candidate has a PhD in a scientific field or a Masters with 6+ years of CRO/pharma experience, with LC-MS/MS and GC-MS skills, cell-based assays, and a strong ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in a scientific field or MSc with substantial relevant experience.
• Experience in CRO/pharma environments or academia.
• Broad understanding of ADME, in vitro metabolism and DDI.
• Knowledge of bioanalytical sciences including LC-MS/MS, GC-MS.
• Experience with cell-based or biochemical assays.
• Strong communication, attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform and report in vitro metabolism ADME studies for discovery and development compounds.
• Participate in experimental design, perform experiments, analyze and report data.
• Manage multiple projects and high-throughput studies in a fast-paced environment.
• Develop new ADME assays and improve existing ones.
• Mentor junior scientists and collaborate with project teams.
• Support lab operations, calibration, maintenance and quality systems.

What You'll Do:

We are seeking a Senior Scientist to be responsible for conducting routine ADME assays as well as participating in experimental design, performing experiments, troubleshooting, and performing data analysis and interpretation.

• Responsible for planning, performing and reporting in vitro metabolism ADME studies for discovery and development stage compounds.
• Actively participate in experimental design, perform experiments as well as critically analyze, interpret and report the data to design next steps.
• Ability to perform high-impact as well as high throughput studies to completion in a fast paced environment, while managing multiple projects to meet the timelines
• Provides scientific knowledge and responsible in establishing new ADME assays as well as contribute to the continuous improvement of the current ADME assays
• Guide junior scientists within the department
• Assist in data analysis and interpretation
• Laboratory support including ordering, equipment calibration and validation Working to a high standard and adhering to our Quality System
• Work closely with the Project Managers to ensure the requirements of our clients are met
• Assist in running and maintaining robotic systems to support processes.
• Perform Quality Review of peer data and assist in consolidating assay control and validation criteria
• Work closely with the Project Managers to ensure the requirements of our clients are met

Who You Are:

• PhD in a scientific relevant field with experience in contract research organizations, pharmaceutical industries or academia. (Ph.D. preferred) or Masters with 6 years plus experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
• Industry/academic experience in DM/PK and a strong record of scientific achievement
• Broad understanding of ADME, in vitro drug metabolism and DDI
• Knowledge of bioanalytical sciences including LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, biotransformation and physical organic chemistry
• Experienced in cell based or biochemical assays.
• Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate with peers and all levels of management

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $80,750 to $109,250. This is a salaried exempt role. Base salary offered may vary depending on the individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value. Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, short-term and long-term disability, company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, flexible work, generous paid time off and paid holiday, wellness and transportation benefits.
