Job summary

Lampire Biological Labs, Inc. is seeking a scientifically trained professional to develop custom client processes in a production lab setting. You will coordinate purification methods, participate in client meetings as a SME, and help advance product quality through R&D activities.

The role requires PhD or Master’s with relevant experience, strong communication, and familiarity with cGMP operations. Expect active lab work, SOP updates, and collaboration across teams in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Formulate custom buffers based on client specs or company needs.
• Assist with custom purification of antibodies.

• Assist in R&D of products, procedures, and quality improvements.
• Support lab staff as a subject matter expert.
• Write and revise SOPs and Batch Records as needed.
• Assist in filling, labeling and finished goods inspection.

Job description

Scope of Responsibility:

Responsible for the development of custom client processes and purifications and the coordination and communication of such processes within a production laboratory environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Position Requirements:

NOTE: Qualifications are based upon education, resume and/or work experience.

• Good oral and written communications skills (English) and mathematical skills are required.
• Windows based computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing for a minimum of 3 years.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as a group, manage multiple priorities, and complete assigned tasks.
• Experience with cGMP quality systems and manufacturing operations.
• Ability to give directions, train others, and communicate effectively.
• Thorough understanding of the metric system.
• Ability to perform all work (labor, tool use, equipment operation, etc.), and interact with others in a safe a responsible manner.

Essential Functions include (but are not limited to):

• Formulate custom buffers based on client specifications or company needs and assist in preparation.
• Assist with custom purification of antibodies.
• Participate in client meetings as a subject matter expert.
• Utilize expertise to coordinate with clients in the establishment of custom purification methods based on the internal or external client needs or specifications.
• Assist in the research and development of products, procedures, and improvements to product quality.
• Assist laboratory staff as a subject matter expert.
• Write and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Batch Records (BR) as needed.
• Assist in filling, labeling and finished good inspection as needed.
• Operate laboratory and analytical equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of workspace.
• Perform all work in accordance with good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and relevant SOP's.
• Assist in preparation of investigation reports as part of the Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) program.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• PhD in a scientific field preferred; or
• Master's degree in a scientific field with 3-5 years of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

• This position is moderately active and requires standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout the lab.
• The employee will need to be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Working Conditions:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently standing, walking, and sitting.
• Conditions in the work environment are generally quiet, periodically there may be mid-level noise from various equipment.
