Job summary

Lockwood is seeking a Senior Scientific Director - Publications (Oncology) to oversee scientific content for oncology accounts. The role involves planning, coordinating with editors and writers, and ensuring high-quality publication strategies across audiences.

The candidate should have an advanced science degree (PhD/PharmD/MD) and 5+ years of medical publication experience, with oncology exposure and familiarity with AMA style and ICMJE/GPP2022 guidelines. Remote work is available in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with medical publications (manuscripts, posters, abstracts, podium presentations).
• Knowledge of AMA style and ethical guidelines (ICMJE, GPP2022).
• Experience in oncology and, if possible, multiple myeloma.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects, multitask, and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and oversee scientific content for assigned accounts across therapeutic areas.
• Lead execution of content development activities and liaise with writers and freelancers.
• Supervise Associate Scientific Directors and coordinate with in-house teams.
• Conduct background research, data-checking, and reference annotation.
