Nucleus Global, an Inizio Medical company, seeks a Senior Scientific Director – Medical Affairs to lead CRM-focused medical communications for premium clients. This client-facing role directs strategy, mentors staff, and leads scientific teams in content creation and advisory board programs.

You will partner with VPs of scientific and client services, drive business development, and foster innovation across the network in the US and globally.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD or MD with 10+ years in medical communications.
• Track record of successful scientific leadership across multiple clients/therapeutic areas.
• US launch experience required; global experience is a plus.

Senior Scientific Director – Medical Affairs

The right individual must have strong work experience in the Medical Affairs space with a focus on cardio-renal-metabolic (CRM). This is a client-facing role that requires directing client strategy, staff mentoring / management, leading scientific teams in content creation, and partnering with the VPs of scientific and client services and managing director in business development, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage scientific team responsible for delivering a full range of strategic Medial Affairs projects
• Under the guidance of the scientific VP, lead and manage account to ensure the creation of high quality, accurate medical / scientific content, with ability to expand management responsibilities as team grows
• Develop and grow Medical Affairs work, partnering with VPs of scientific and client services to plan, lead, and facilitate strategic client engagements, including advisory boards, strategic planning sessions, workshops, and other high-value scientific and Medical Affairs initiatives
• Identify and develop strategic and tactical business recommendations relevant to client strategy and marketplace needs
• Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to clients, applying scientific, therapeutic area, drug development, and market expertise to identify needs, anticipate challenges, and develop strategic and tactical recommendations that address client and marketplace priorities
• Demonstrate a high level of comfort articulating scientific and therapeutic information in CRM
• Foster innovation and collaboration across Nucleus to position agency as leader in Medical Affairs work

Additional Requirements:

• PhD, PharmD, MD with 10+ years of experience of relevant medical communications experience, with an in-depth understanding of Medical Affairs work in the CRM space
• Track record of successful scientific leadership across several clients/therapeutic categories
• US launch experience required; Global experience is a plus
• Some travel will be required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing staff / direct reports (potentially based across multiple locations)

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations.
