Job summary

Med Communications, Inc. is seeking a Principal Scientific Communications Specialist to lead complex manuscript development and publication planning projects for pharma and biotech clients.

This fully remote, full-time role emphasizes medical affairs support, scientific writing, and strategic communication across therapeutic areas. You will mentor teams, ensure regulatory and client compliance, and collaborate with global clients to deliver high-quality publications and materials while advancing

Qualifications

• PharmD, PhD, or MD required.
• Minimum of 5 years in manuscript development, publication planning, medical communications, medical affairs, or related healthcare field.
• Experience with publication and manuscript creation, review, and submission.
• Experience developing manuscripts, medical information materials, or medical affairs materials.
• Strong scientific writing, editing, and critical appraisal skills.
• Ability to interpret clinical data and scientific literature.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation, review, and submission of scientific publications and manuscripts.
• Develop and review scientific and medical communications materials.
• Provide scientific support for marketed and investigational products.
• Interpret and communicate complex data to healthcare professional audiences.
• Evaluate literature and integrate evidence-based findings into deliverables.
• Create and review medical affairs and scientific communication materials.
• Participate in scientific training and educational initiatives for assigned brands.
• Support scientific exchange activities.
• Ensure all deliverables meet regulatory, compliance, and client requirements; coordinate across multiple clients and brands.
• Mentor and train team members; contribute to process improvements.
