Job summary

Novartis Group of Companies in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Scientific AI Platform Expert to build enterprise-grade AI analysis platforms accelerating drug discovery. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, operationalize generative AI, and shape the DAx AI data strategy while collaborating with enterprise IT.

You will design scalable omics pipelines, APIs, data products, ensure reproducible workflows, and guide project governance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience in scientific data science or engineering, AI/ML, in biopharma or tech.
• Experience building production-grade multimodal data platforms for omics data and metadata.
• Omics pipelines, MCP, LLM patterns, agent orchestration, and deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch).
• Strong communication and collaboration across a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Translate scientific and operational AI needs into impactful, decision-enabling solutions.
• Hands-on design, build, and sustain scalable AI-focused omics pipelines, APIs, and data products.
• Scale AI workflows using reproducible, transparent, secure, and FAIR data practices.
• Prioritize resources against evolving research needs.
• Provide input to project evaluation, deployment, lifecycle, and governance practices.
• Assist onboarding of external vendors and service providers.
• Present results via internal/external presentations, posters, publications, and technical documentation.
