You will partner on multidisciplinary teams, operationalize AI solutions, and shape the DAx AI data strategy.

The role combines hands-on development, governance, and mentoring of scientists and engineers, with a hybrid on-site presence in Cambridge.

Qualifications

• PhD in AI/ML, data science, or related field with practical experience.
• 3+ years in scientific data science or AI/ML in biopharma/tech.
• Production-grade multimodal data platforms experience.
• Omics pipelines and LLM patterns familiarity preferred.
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, cloud platforms, and data lakes.

Responsibilities

• Translate scientific and operational AI needs into impactful solutions.
• Design, build, and sustain scalable omics pipelines, APIs, and data products.
• Scale AI workflows with reproducible, secure, and FAIR data practices.
• Prioritize resources against evolving research needs.
• Establish governance for deployment, lifecycle, and evaluation.
• Mentor wet lab scientists, data scientists, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate external vendors and service providers.
• Communicate strategy and results through internal/external presentations and documentation.
