Qualifications

• PhD in mathematics, computer science, biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, immunology or related field.
• 8–10 years’ experience in grant proposal development, scientific writing, or journalism.
• Ability to define complex scientific concepts and prioritize multiple projects.
• Strong technical writing and editing skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outlines for manuscripts and coordinate with authors and staff.
• Produce high-quality figures, tables and graphics for publications and grants.
• Copyedit and proofread manuscripts and coordinate journal submission.
• Lead revisions to highly technical documents including grant proposals and manuscripts.
• Translate complex scientific information for lay audiences via web content and collateral.
• Develop and edit grant applications and annual progress reports in partnership with faculty.
• Review literature to support proposals and regulatory filings.
