Knowesis is seeking an SME III – Science Writer to translate complex scientific findings and psychological health concepts into accessible, impactful communications. This role ensures high-quality presentation of PHCoE research artifacts to leadership, clinicians, and the public.

The job requires a Master's degree and 8+ years of professional writing experience, including leading a strategic communications team in direct coordination with center leadership. Hybrid telework is available.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Health, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in science, medical, or technical writing.
• Experience leading a strategic communications team and coordinating with center leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical/science writing support to develop impactful written artifacts for PHCoE initiatives and research findings.
• Edit and review content for internal use or public release.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to highlight center accomplishments.
• Maintain consistent voice while translating complex scientific concepts for general audiences.
• Review content for adherence to DoD, DHA, and other policies governing government information.
