Job summary

The Hawaii State Department of Education is seeking a Clinical Psychologist VIII to provide services to students across Hawaii schools as needed and assigned by the Hawaii District Administration Office. Salary is commensurate with experience.

The position requires a doctoral degree in clinical psychology with internship and licensure within two years, plus two additional years of relevant experience at Level VII/VI equivalent in the State service.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in clinical psychology with internship required or substituted by one year of professional clinical psychology experience.
• Doctoral program must include internship in clinical psychology or post-doctoral internship as applicable.
• Licensure or license-track requirements by Hawaii state Board of Psychology within two years of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional work related to development, behavior, and mental health assessments for individuals or groups with serious psychological concerns.
• Conducts psycho-diagnosis, psychotherapy, consultation, prevention, training and research.
• Plans, directs, and evaluates a program of clinical psychology with multiple subprograms.
