What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

  • Schedule appointments, procedures, and surgeries while ensuring accurate patient demographic and insurance information
  • Provide detailed information to patients and healthcare providers regarding services and procedures
  • Coordinate patient care across multiple disciplines and assist with financial counseling and precertification
  • Support clinical team members with effective communication and organization of requests
  • Assist in training and onboarding new staff and interns as necessary

What is Required (Qualifications):

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in patient access or a similar field
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a busy environment
  • Proficiency in PC knowledge and effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Associate’s Degree and at least 1.5 years of experience in a healthcare setting or revenue cycle department
  • Familiarity with systems such as Cadence, Optime, Aria, and Ambra
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and report tasks across multiple systems
