Job description

Job Summary

This position performs ancillary duties in addition to normal scheduling duties, including multi‑discipline scheduling, as well as lead responsibilities for on‑line and/or outage schedules, major projects, and forced outage / unit trips. Scheduling duties will include scoping, scheduling of equipment, materials and resources, and resource levelization in the most efficient and cost‑effective manner within assigned organizations and systems. Senior scheduling duties will include prioritization of work activities based on the equipment impact and coordination of scheduling of activities to minimize plant risk, out‑of‑service time for critical equipment, and in the most efficient and cost‑effective manner for the station.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure schedules for on‑line and/or outages are developed in accordance with Vistra requirements and standards.
• Provide scheduling support for site work groups as assigned.
• Coordinate activities with other work groups to collect necessary information for schedule development and quality.
• Prioritize and schedule the scope of work, materials, and man‑hours for all work weeks, forced and planned outages as assigned.
• Coordinate and schedule operations and maintenance activities to minimize equipment/system out‑of‑service time and/or Technical Specification Action Conditions.
• Minimize plant risk through effective scheduling.
• Communicate the schedule with the station through Work Management meetings and/or any other communication tools to ensure successful schedule execution.

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ten years of power plant experience, including scheduling and familiarity with job planning requirements.
• Knowledge of Power Plant operations and maintenance, including clearance and tagging process and Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) and/or Outage Risk Assessment.
• Understanding of the INPO Work Control Process for on‑line and/or outages.
• Proficient computer skills in scheduling tools, work order development tools, and Microsoft Office.
