Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC is seeking a Principal SCADA Engineer to lead architecture, design, procurement, and lifecycle management of enterprise SCADA systems for renewable power generation and substations. You will guide cross-functional teams across Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, Compliance, and Procurement on complex capital projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
6+ years in SCADA/industrial control environments.
Experience with design, procurement, and turnkey project execution.

Responsibilities

Define current-state and target-state SCADA architectures including control centers and field devices.
Lead conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design activities; develop diagrams and data-flow models.
Prepare procurement-ready specifications, interfaces, and test criteria.
Oversee vendor proposals, bid evaluations, and supplier engagement.
Direct integration, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
Establish cybersecurity and compliance requirements for industrial control systems.
Provide technical governance, standards, and lifecycle roadmaps.
