Job summary

Micron Technology invites applications for a Senior/Staff Facilities SCADA Engineer in Boise, Idaho. You will design, develop, and maintain PLC programs, configure HMI systems, and lead Siemens automation deployments to ensure uptime and efficiency across facility operations.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and vendors, documenting changes and driving continuous improvement through AI-assisted workflows. A strong background in controls and cybersecurity is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in controls engineering or related field.
• 5+ years PLC programming, hardware, and system architecture experience.
• Experience with SCADA systems and industrial networks.
• Strong HMI design and automation troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals for industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain PLC programs using Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal, and FasTrak 505 Workshop.
• Configure and support HMI applications using AVEVA System Platform OMI.
• Lead deployment and fixing of Siemens automation hardware across platforms.
• Partner with multi-functional teams to support system reliability, performance, and commissioning.
• Document PLC code, system changes, and configurations.
• Leverage AI to optimize workflows and drive continuous improvement.
